The Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves would like to announce a trade! The Brewers receive: - Mike Foltynewicz, SP, ATL 1.02/ARB1/ARB2/ARB3/UFA
The Braves received: - Roberto Osuna, RP, TOR 1.04/ARB1/ARB2/ARB3/UFA
- Chance Sisco, C, BAL 0.2 prospect contract
- Lucas Erceg, 3B, MIL 0.2 prospect contract
The Brewers reasoning:
Following the recent trade of Lance McCullers and the demotion of Joe Ross, the Brewers found themselves shorthanded when it came to starting pitching. The GM scoured the league and found a potential trade partner in the Braves. While Folty wasn't the initial target in trade talks, that's where things lead and the Brewers are glad to welcome him to the team.
It was difficult to give up two of the organization's top position prospects in Sisco and Erceg, but the opportunity to acquire a young SP with tremendous upside was too good to pass up. Both Sisco and Erceg have bright futures ahead of them and the Brewers would like to thank them for their contributions to the organization. Osuna has gotten off to a slow start this year, but let's not forget he's only 22 and is entrenched as the Blue Jays closer. He has two very good seasons under his belt so he's bound to turn it around sooner than later. The Brewers would also like to thank him for his contributions to the organization.
All three players will be missed, but are wished the best of luck with their new team.
Welcome to the Brewers, Folty!

I accept. I had an extra starter to deal and while I was initially approached about Charlie Morton, the players I was interested required to give up a younger more upside arm. While I am really happy about the return, I wish I could have dealt Morton for the players I received lol.
Nobody is moving young, controllable arms here and in a league like this SP carried more value than most others so it will be tough to see a high upside arm who strikes out a lot of guys go to Milwaukee but it's a trade I feel comfortable making as Robbie Ray was sitting in my minors, I upgrade RP where I am weak, and get a long term catcher in Sisco and another solid prospect I like in Erceg.
