Redsox send:

*Sox pay 7mil of Lester's 2020 contract
Buck Farmer (in minors)20/.5m 21/ufa

Cardinals send:
James McCann 20/5.2 21/ufa
Sam Tuivailala 20/2 21/2 22/ufa
Josh Naylor(in minors)20/.75 21/1 22/arb1
Brusdar Graterol .9 minors

Redsox agree to this deal. McCann gives us insurance for Grandal. Tuivailala is a nice addition to our Mlb relievers and Graterol and Naylor should help with the minor league system re-tooling.Money makes salaries pretty much a wash. We acquired Lester for the playoff run last year, he was not in our ultimate long term plans. We wish Jon, Jaleen, and Buck the best. Thanks to the Cards for the negotiations and the deal.

Lester is a veteran arm for our rotation and comes with a team option in '21.
