The Brewers and Angels have agreed to a trade!

Brewers receive:

• Matt Canterino, SP, MIN - $0.25 prospect

Angels receive:

• Chase Anderson, SP, TOR - 20/$2 21/UFA
• Chris Mokma, SP, MIA - $0.2 prospect

The Angels contacted us about the availability of Anderson and given his recent move to the rugged AL East we were not too overly attached to him.  We exchanged some names and things fell into place rather easily.  We liked Canterino quite a bit but missed out on him in the recent draft.  We're glad to be able to add him now.  Mokma looks to have a nice arm too but we just happen to like Canterino more.

Thanks to the Angels for the relatively painless deal.  Best of luck in 2020.

Needed the depth at SP and I think Anderson has a little more upside than the usual back of the rotation options. With an improved cutter and an assured spot in the rotation, he could be a bargain at his salary. I also had Mokma in my draft queue as an intriguing young over slot arm.

We will miss Canterino, our second pick ever but feel it was worth the risk considering pitching prospects in general.
