The Miami Marlins are ready to compete for the NL East Division Title in 2020. Missing the playoffs would be considered a failure at this point. The entire division looks poised to go toe to toe, this will be a slugfest. Whoever comes out on top will have to earn it in 2020.
The team has a much more veteran look than some others in the league. These fellas have been around the block and know a thing or two about winning, and that's just what we'll be doing come April. The offense seems complete, the rotation could be subject to change.
LET'S GO MARLINS!

Coming into the 2021 the Marlins were looking at a minor retool after a decent 2020 season. We sought out undervalued players through trade and made a commitment to seeing some development out of our fringe MLB players/AAAA types after seeing several of our former farm hands blossom following their departure from Miami. Our commitment to that rewarded us with some promising SP heading into 2022. Luis Castillo and Sony Gray will continue to anchor the rotation with a nice compliment of promising youth in Patrick Sandoval, Ranger Suarez, Cal Quantrill and Tucker Davidson. Add in veterans backend options Jose Urena and Joe Ross, as well as Justin Dunn who is likely on the bubble in Seattle and Nate Pearson who should be competing for a spot in Toronto again. Fortunately many of these guys still have options so we'll be able to hold onto a great deal of depth at the position heading into 2022. Offensively 2021 was a rollercoaster. Starting C Danny Jansen was injured or awful until September, hopefully he can let that momentum carry him into next season. 1B - Nate Lowe had a fine season. There may be more in the tank there, we look forward to his continued growth. 2B - Jonathon Schoop was very productive this season as he tends to be. SS - JP Crawford has officially established himself as an everyday regular that can get on base and deliver consistent points. 3B - is a gaping hole for us right now, Hanser Alberto is ultimately a bench piece. Casas could keep 3B eligibility for his first season although with Dalbec's progress and Devers locked in, it'll be interesting to see how Boston finds a spot for him. I'll be looking to improve this position heading into 2022. LF - Andrew McCutcheon will be back for another season. Still a steady contributor on a quality offense in Philadelphia. CF - ?? Ryan McKenna...... We have help on the horizon but not likely to contribute in 2022 so again we'll be looking for a CF to bolster this lineup in the offseason. RF - Jorge Soler found himself again after landing in Atlanta and gives us hope for him moving forward after a terrible start to the season. UT - Giancarlo Stanton going bananas in September has reinvigorated the front office. He can really carry the team at times and we expect to see more of this is he puts his injury woes behind him. The bullpen has a few top performers that will return for 2022. Should be a quality group for us moving forward. As we turn out the lights on 2021 we look forward to turning them back on in 2022; they'll shine a little brighter next year. DK
