Minnesota Trades:
SP James Kapriellian 0.2 prospect SP Maximo Castillo 0.2 prospect
Milwaukee Trades:
C Francisco Mejia 19: 0.5, 20: 0.75, 21: 1 mil, 22: Arb 1, 23: Arb 2, 24: Arb 3
Minnesota accepts. We had high hopes for Maximo in our system. He has great stuff and we truly believe he will be a big league pitcher someday but we had an opportunity to get our catcher for next year and had to take it. Sorry James, we included you because I never know how to spell your name and it would be hard to pencil you into lineup cards every night.
Thanks Brewers for the deal.

Brewers accept.
While Mejia has a lot of promise he's been buried in our minors as we've been using a rotation of Suzuki and Alfaro at the position. Alfaro may or may not be our catcher of the future, that's yet to be seen, but either way we still have two pretty good prospects at C in our farm in Amaya and Stephenson.
We thought we'd use the depth to nab a couple arms we like. Kaprielian has dealt with multiple injuries the last few years so he's rather old for the level of the farm he's in but he's finally been healthy this year and has shown why he's a former 1st round pick. Castillo is a relative unknown in the lower levels of the Toronto system but has taken a big step forward in his development and will start to garner a lot of attention.
Thanks to the Twins for the deal. Best of luck going forward.
