Tentative off-season timeline 2018/19 (all dates subject to change)
OCT 8--Rule change discussion and polls (will be posted Oct 8th and close Oct 15th)-- Discussion of rule changes for next year. Main topics include but are not limited to:
40 man roster and rule 5 draft
3 game WC series
Add 2 slots to MLB roster
Change options to 5 total for all players in TC and ARB and options do not reset in a trade
All starts in RP slots for "openers" This will also involve removing 1 pt from scoring for starts
Adding 1 or 2 more active slots for RP
NOV 1-15
Decisions made on ARB players (picking up contract at new value or releasing)
TC players (also picking up contract or releasing).
Contract extension for one of your players entering FA--if you want to extend one. Be sure to read the rules as these are different than pre season contract extensions and very costly
Players with TO for 2018 picked up or declined
Buyouts/Waivers open
NOV 15th-30th
40 man rosters posted on Proboards if voted to implement this season
Dec 1st
--TRADING for all teams that have made a deposit ($50 or more) for the upcoming season (or pays in full)
JAN-1st-15th
Rule 5 draft
JAN 15th or after
Free agency opens--Fees MUST be paid for all teams. Team must be under cap to participate in FA and have cap room for all offers.
