Was in search of a SS. Very tough to deal an elite young starter who’s cheap but with my last few trades I’m trying to win this year without not totally selling the farm. This trade took a ton of back and forth and ultimately liked this deal more than giving up multiple prospects I am high on. Osuna isn’t easy to lose either as he is a very reliable source of points from the RP slot.
Arcia is a nice young controllable player I can plug in a gaping hole that was missing. Hamels, while old and expensive hopes to provide a reliable arm with the loss of ray, and we welcome two very young but upside prospects to an already decent farm.
Good deal and good luck rangers

Rangers accept -- big fan of Ray, and wanted a 1-2 punch to compete with some of the other playoff teams. Rays young enough, controllable and entering his prime so it should be a fun match to Kershaw.
Losing Arcia bites hard but figure Ray is worth it. Hamels isn't getting any younger, and getting another young power arm in Osuna helps my 2 man bullpen. Teoscar becomes a starter in my depleted OF but he has enough upside to make him intriguing
