Hello all other fantasy baseball enthusiasts and contributors to my next vacation. My name is Danny and I am the GM of the Rockies and do live in Colorado in real life. In my real job I am a high school science teacher (this year it is chemistry and environmental science). Until recently I held out hope that a professional baseball career was still an option but have come to realize, reluctantly, that it probably will not happen. But I do consider teaching to be a close second as far as careers go.
I am probably older than most of the rest of you--I have 4 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. I have been doing fantasy baseball in various formats since the internet has been available in homes--so basically 20 years or so. As the season goes on I look forward to getting to know the rest of the GMs on here and talk to you guys about all things baseball. Good luck to all of you.
As we enter our second season, the Rockies feel that they have a nice young group to build with and be competitive starting in 2018 and of championship quality as early as 2019. As we move into 2018 we will be looking to add productive veterans to fill in the slots for the not quite ready youngsters.
