The D-Backs & Royals have agreed to the following trade...
Royals get:
Enmanuel Valdez, 2B, Red Sox 2024/1M 2025/ARB1 2026/ARB2 2027/ARB3 2028/UFA
Josh Stephan, SP, Rangers 2024/0.73M Prospect
Jefferson Rojas, SS, Cubs 2024/0.3M Prospect
D-Backs get:
Nick Nastrini, SP, White Sox 2024/0.5M 2025/TC2 2026/TC3 2027/ARB1 2028/ARB2 2029/ARB3 2030/UFA
For the D-Backs our season has gone down the toilet, so our moves have been looking to the future. Valdez was expendable as it looks like Edman could be back soon. Stephan is a decent looking SP prospect, and we really hated giving up on Rojas, we think he has a lot of potential.
In return we got Nasty Nick Nastrini. We have always liked him and even though his first cup of coffee hasn't gone well this season, he just turned 24 and we see him as a valuable part of our staff going forward.
