The New York Mets and Detroit Tigers have agreed to a deal - here are the specifics:

Sean Manaea, SP, NYM
Contract: 8.5M 2024-2027 UFA 2028
Josh Outman, OF, LAD
Contract: TC2/0.75M
Tigers get
Christian Yelich, OF, MIL
Contract: 16.8M 2024/33.6M 2025/TO 31.5/2026 UFA/2027
Mets cover 50% of Yelich´s 2024 salary and 25% of 2025 salary
Michael A. Taylor, OF, PIT
Contract: 2.8M/2024 UFA/2025
Mets cover 50% of Taylor´s 2024 salary
Mike Soroka, SP, CWS
Contract: 5.13M 2024 - 2027 UFA/2028
1M cash for 2024
Yelich has been OTB for months (with exactly zero enquiries) as I wouldn´t have been able to afford his salary in 2025 and I personally hate to lose quality players without anything to show for it. With the Pirates GM looking to upgrade his bats both signs found a good fit here. I truly hate to lose Yelich´s steady (and current MVP-caliber) production but getting talented Dodgers OF Outman and rejuvenated Mets SP Manaea in return will hopefully ease the pain.
In addition to Yelich real life Pirates CF Taylor (expendable with three CF on my team) and Soroka (just tired of waiting for him to round back into form) move to Pittsburgh which should make the trade a fair one for both side. The salary coverage/cash part was necessary to make the financial side of the deal work for the fake Pirates. With my team having some open budget I had no problem to do that.
I would like to thank Roger for the great trade talks (which started with me asking for Puk) and wish Christian, Michael and Mike all the best with their new organization.
