After a bit of back and forth the D-Backs & Tigers have agreed to the following trade...
Tigers get: Seiya Suzuki, RF, Cubs 2024/15M 2025/18M 2026/18M 2027/UFA Amed Rosario, 2B/SS, FA 2024/5.63M 2025/5.63M 2026/5.63M 2027/8.45M TO 2028/UFA Robert Gasser, SP, Brewers 2024/0.2M Prospect
D-Backs get: Willy Adames, SS, Brewers 2024/16.88M 2025/16.88M 2026/16.88M 2027/16.88M 2028/25.32M TO 2029/UFA Henry Davis, RF, Pirates 2024/0.75M 2025/1M 2026/ARB1 2027/ARB2 2028/ARB3 2029/UFA Tsung-Che Cheng. 2B/3B/SS, Pirates 2024/0.55M 2025/0.55M 2026/0.55M 2027/0.75M 2028/UFA Max Schuemann, SS, A's 2024/0.2M Prospect
For the D-Backs this was as much about looking forward as it is for help right now. We hated the idea of putting Gasser in any deal, but this one made sense to us. Gasser alone was not going to turn around our franchise. The addition of Adames gives us a solid bat for several years at a position that is hard to fill. Davis talented and will most likely becomes better than average bat at the least. Schuemann has a chance to help us out this year as a utility type of guy if he has a good spring in OAK. Cheng has made big strides in his game, and we look for him to help for a few years starting next season.
We got some talent in this deal, but as is usually the case we had to give talent also in Suzuki, Rosario & especially Gasser.
Thanks to Roger for being willing to negotiate and for the deal. Good luck this season!

Moving the guys I did was hard but suzuki though more expensive than Davis will still be contracted for several years. I need his points now which probably is more then Davis for time being. Need points now as my pitching is thin. This is where gasser comes into play and should be a full go rotation piece for all of 2025 and beyond while getting time this year. I lose little in the SS swap and hope Rosario gets a team soon but adames was a want for Donnie and ot also helps me regarding cap since taking on suzuki.
Thanks Donnie. Best of luck.
