Brewers get:
   Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, Cardinals  2023/24.75M  2024/UFA   D-Backs paying $11M of Goldie's contract
   Jake Burger, 3B, White Sox  2023/0.75M  2024/1M  2025/ARB1  2026/ARB2  2027/ARB3  2028/UFA


D-Backs get:
   Justin Turner, 3B, Red Sox  2023/15M  2024/UFA
   Casey Schmitt, 3B, Giants  2023/0.2M  Prospect
   James Triantos, 3B/SS, Cubs  2023/0.2M
   Joe Lampe, LF, Guardians  2023/0.2M  Prospect


It was great having Goldie, but he was a 1 year rental. Until half our pitching hit the IL we thought we might make a run this year but realized it was time to capitalize on his performance and get some future help. With Burger on the IL for another 10-days to 2 weeks it was an easy decision to include him in this deal. Turner is hitting well and will fill our 3B spot the rest of the season and is close to adding 1B giving us a little depth there.
The key for us was the prospects. 2 solid, but very young players in Triantos & Lampe. The key piece for us being Schmitt who we hope will man 3B for us for many years to come.

Brewers accept. Our team has performed better than expected so we re-acquired Goldy and pushed in our chips for this year. Schmitt has looked good but Burger isn't all that old himself and is still cheap and should get a fair amount of playing time once he returns. This move makes our offense more potent which was the real driver here. Thanks to Donnie for the deal. Best of luck.
