The Angels need a temporary C with the injuries to d'Arnaud and Campusano and Thaiss will likely have some significant PT. Thaiss has also had decent stats in the minors that hasn't translated in small samples in the majors so hoping that translates better with this opportunity.

Though we had high hopes for Correa and Pozo, they are lottery tickets that we could afford to give away.

Reds accept. We were also excited about Thaiss new playing time but have 2 C and are comfortable with the 2 prospects in return.
