Cards acquire SP Yu Darvish (1 year @ 24.75, Reds pay half) from the Reds for 3B David Villar (0.50/TC1).

Might be a desperation move, but our rotation suffered two yuge injuries this week. Can afford the deal with Sale moving to IL.

Reds accept the deal. Really risky move losing Darvish after just paying quite a bit to acquire him.
We have Eflin coming back and have been watching Villar for a bit.

I’d say good luck to Joe but we’re in same division. Jk, you have a great team and will likely make some noise this year.
