Angels send Chris Bassitt 22/7.5 23/11.25 24/UFA
Brewers send: Dakota Hudson 22/1.85 23/ARB2 24/ARB3 25/UFA Luis Campusano 22/0.5 23/0.75 24/1 25/ARB1 26/ARB2 27/ARB3 28/UFA Kyle Muller 22/0.5 23/0.75 24/1 25/ARB1 26/ARB2 27/ARB3 28/UFA Garrett Hill 22/0.5 23/0.75 24/1 25/ARB1 26/ARB2 27/ARB3 28/UFA
The Angels needed to cut costs, open up slots in the rotation for returning players and increase flexibility with optionable players and add trading chips for future deals. We did that here albeit losing a great SP on an affordable contract. Hudson will be a solid but unspectacular back end option, however the three young prospects were just too enticing to pass up. Each had shown promise in the minors but not great production in the majors but we are banking on the larger sample and they come with 6 years of control. It's a slight step back in the present but all of them should be ready to contribute soon.

Brewers agree to this deal. We are in definite win-now mode and adding another strong piece to our rotation was the driving force here. Bassitt is just on a two year deal but he's pitching well and the cost is reasonable. We gave up two of our highest ranked prospects in Campusano and Muller but there's no guarantee they are any help this year.
Thanks to the Angels for the deal. Best of luck.
