Minnesota Trades:
Christian Pache, CF (prospect) Erick Pena, CF (prospect) Andre Pallante, SP (prospect)
To the Detroit Tigers, for
Josh Bell, 1B (2022: 6.89, 2023: 6.89, 2024: 6.89, 2025: 6.89, 2026: 10.33 (TO) Tanner Rainey, RP (2022: 1.5, 2023: Arb 2, 2024: Arb 3)
With Conforto’s delayed signing and DeGrom going down we really wanted to get some extra points through some avenue. This allows us to put Bell into 1B and move Kirilloff to RF while we wait on Conforto. Rainey gives us some added depth and we believe he’s much better than his last years numbers suggest.
This cost us a lot in my eyes. Pache is an excellent defender who will be given lots of leash to develop. The A’s will be strong again within a year or two and he’ll be cheap and ready to roll. Peña is also hard to move. I think he’ll be batting right behind Witt in a year and high 2’s, 300 avg is what I’d expect. The kid can make contact. I paid more for him than what Jasson went for!
Anyway hope this gives my lineup the flexibility it needs while I wait our the question marks.
Thanks Detroit for the deal!

Tigers accept. Though bell had some nice comtract years left and could been part of team post rebuild getting pache improves the overall future OF and pena does so as well. 6 year tc of these guys should help out.
Good luck twins
