The Brewers and Braves have agreed to a massive 7-player deal! Brewers send to Braves: - Trevor Rogers, SP, MIA - 22/$0.75 TC2
- Dax Fulton, SP, MIA - $0.25 prospect
Braves send to Brewers:
- Brett Baty, 3B, NYM - $0.3 prospect
- Michael Harris, CF, ATL - $0.2 prospect
- Daniel Espino, SP, CLE - $0.3 prospect
- Taj Bradley, SP, TB - $0.2 prospect
- Connor Norby, 2B, BAL - $0.25 prospect
I wasn't looking to deal Rogers, especially for just prospects, but after a few weeks of back and forth proposals I finally got one I felt I couldn't turn down. I didn't get a couple of the prospects I was really angling for but I got a combination that I felt I'd probably regret turning down. Hopefully I have enough pitching to somewhat absorb the loss of Rogers for 2022, if not I'll be kicking myself, especially with being the defending NL champ looking to get back to the WS. Time will tell I guess.
ATL has put rebuilt rather quickly after selling off quite a few MLB pieces early in the offseason. Rogers adds to the young SP core there in Gilbert, Kirby, Patino and Soroka, led by the elder statesmen in Lynn.
Best of luck in 2022 and maybe we'll meet down the road.

Being a marlins fan Rogers was a prime target. I feel I definitely had to overpay to pry him from Jerry so the system takes a bit hit here. With the FA moves madeI felt like I might as well try to win now and Rogers helps that case
