This is what the bylaws say
Options
Only players on TC or ARB contracts will have options
Only players on TC or ARB contracts will have options
Each player will start with 5 options that can be used during the TC and ARB years. These options do not reset each year or when the player is traded.
Players on regular MLB contract, regardless of years of service, must clear waivers.
I took this to mean that anyone on my active roster that I wanted to send down I had to run through waivers. I have been informed that this is not the case. This rule prompted me to make my trade of Paddack (thinking he would not clear waivers). Please rewrite this with more clarity.
