After a very quick negotiation...around 10 seconds...the Mets and D-Backs have agreed to the following trade...
Mets get: Nomar Mazara, RF, White Sox. 2020/3.67M 2021/ARB2 2022/ARB3 2023/UFA
D-Backs get: Orlando Arcia, SS, Brewers. 2020/1.84M 2021/ARB2 2022/ARB3 2023/UFA
For the D-Backs we are shipping out the newly acquired Mazara because that deal left us with no SS and we can cover the OF spots more easily than SS. Mazara has a power edge and Arcia is a better contact hitter. All in all Mazara probably has a slight edge but SS is a necessity.
Thanks again the the Mets GM for the quick and easy deal! It's always appreciated and good luck!

The New York Mets accept this deal.
I always had a soft spot for Mazara. Although his immense talent never fully materialized on the field I still hope for a breakout. Nomar seems to have been around for ages but he is still only 24. In return Orlando Arcia is shipped to Arizona. Same as Mazara Arcia was a top prospect who never consistently produced in the big leagues but with him being still young as well there is room for improvement. With the SS position being loaded at MLB level (Goodrum, Villar, Rosario) letting Arcia go was an easy decision.
I would like to thank the Dbacks GM for the quick talks and wish Orlando all the best in Arizona.
Welcome to the Mets German branch, Nomar, and as always...let´s go Mets!
