After a bit of back and forth the Tigers and D-Backs have agreed to the following trade...
Tigers get: Corey Dickerson, LF, FA 2020/6.83M 2021/UFA Alex Jackson, C/RF, Braves 2020/0.5M 2021/0.75M 2022/1M 2023/ARB1 Rodolfo Castro, SS, Pirates 2020/0.2M prospect Dominic Pipkin, SP, Phillies 2020/0.2M prospect
D-Backs get: Daniel Vogelbach, 1B, Mariners 2020/1.84M 2021/ARB2 Jose Almonte, SP, Diamondbacks 2020/0.6M prospect
For the D-Backs this was another step in shoring up our offense with the addition of Vogelbach. We will slot him at 1B most days. He doesn't hit much for average but a repeat of last seasons 30 HRs would be nice. We also picked up a young SP we have high hopes for in Almonte. After missing the 2018 season and a big part of 2019 we hope he returns to his pre injury form. If he does the 24 year old should move quickly through the system.
We hated giving up on Corey Dickerson We have always loved his bat, but the constant injuries the past couple seasons, along with his being in his final contract year made him expendable. We think Alex Jackson will get better, but with Salvy Perez at catcher he was pretty much blocked here. Castro and Pipkin are wild cards, both have talent but have yet to capitalize on it in a meaningful way.
Thanks to the Pirates for the deal and good luck in the upcoming season!

Tigers agree Getting another outfielder in hopes i can mix n match the lineup but also more trading chips to try and get a couple outfielders im looking at further. Seems vogelbach wasnt getting me the others i was looking for despite his power numbers. The other guys more wild card types. Maybe jackson could give depth at catcher
Best always to dbacks
