After a quick negotiation the Reds and D-Backs have agreed to the following trade...
Reds get: Vince Fernandez, LF, Rockies. 2020/0.2M prospect Lamar Sparks, CF, Orioles. 2020/0.2M prospect Thairo Estrada, SS/2B, Yankees. 2020/0.2M prospect
D-Backs get: Yordys Valdez, SS, Indians. 2020/0.2M prospect Hunter Gaddis, SP, Cleveland. 2020/0.2M prospect
For the D-Backs this was just a straight swap of prospects to get 2 that we were watching throughout the draft. Valdez was a 2nd round pick that has gold glove potential at SS. His defense will get him to the majors. Between now and then we are very confident his hitting will come around. Gaddis is a hard throwing SP who knows how to pitch after spending 2 years doing it at the college level. He will most likely be on a fast track within the Indians organization.
We hate to see Fernandez, Sparks and Estrada go. They all have talent, we wish them the best in their new home.
Thanks to the Reds for the patience and the deal. Good luck this season.

For the Reds , the future is closer than what this years draft class will yield. We received a MLB ready player that is controlled for a few seasons and still received a couple of upside prospects in return.
Thank you to AZ DBacks for working this deal.
