After a quick negotiation the Sox and D-Backs have agreed to the following...
White Sox get: Robinson Chirinos, C, FA. 2020/12M 2021/12M 2022/UFA D-Backs are paying $6M of Chirinos contract in 2020 & the max allowed $3M for 2021
D-Backs get: Sergio Romo, RP, FA. 2020/1M 2021/1M 2022/1M 2023/UFA
This was a partial salary dump on our part. Chirinos is still a very useful catcher, but with Will Smith handling the duties for us now we felt we could get a cheaper backup. Romo appealed to us because his salary is reasonable for a guy that had 20 saves and 17 holds this past season. That and our bullpen is basically non existent at this point.
Thanks to the White Sox for a very quick and easy negotiation!

White Sox accept. We needed a replacement at catcher after Ramos left town and this fit the bill. Plus we have plenty of RP so it works for both sides. Thx for the quick deal Diamondbacks

Fantrax doesn’t have 3M for 2021 for chirinos in comments but that’s part of the deal as mentioned above
