The New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins agree to the following trade:
Minny receives:
J.B. Bukauskus, SP, HOU - 2019/0.2m - minors
NYY receives:
Daniel Norris, SP, DET - 2019 /3.67 - 2020/ARB2 - 2021/ARB3 - 2022/UFA
Terrence Gore, LF, KC - 2019/0.5m - 2020/0.5m - 2021/UFA
NYY accepts this trade to move a top prospect in J.B. Bukauskus to receive an MLB SP and some current MLB depth at LF. While it is always hard to part with a top prospect we feel we can let J.B. go for this "Help Now Package", this is a good deal for our club which is built to contend now. We have run into some injury issues and feel Norris will help round out our rotation now, and might be the exact caliber of starter that J.B. could turn out to be as J.B. has had some mixed reviews at times. We also like Norris' team friendly and controlled contract. Gore gives us outfield depth, and if he remains at the MLB level with an every day gig he could be a Dee Gordon type player, either way his contract is so low it is a very low risk investment.
Thank you for the swift and easy negotiations Minny.....nice doing business with you.

The Minnesota Twins accept. Losing Norris and Gore doesn’t really hurt us as we are working to build long term. JB’s stuff is fantastic- but he has a hard time controlling it. Realistically we’re looking at a high-leverage bullpen arm or a 4/5 starter. That being said when our team is maturing we expect him to be contributing at roughly the same time so it gives us cheap options/depth when we need it and hopefully allows us to invest more in FA when the time comes.
Easy negotiations yanks, we wish you and Norris/Gore the best in the future.
