Again yes I’m impatient, but I just lost 3 straight to the Nationals with at best Half of an MLB roster and 2 straight the D Backs. No offense to those teams but even they wound tell you they are not ready to be a threat this year and aren’t contenders this season. I lost to both of those teams today with Max on the mound. In a nutshell, I made a play to win this season and don’t think I have the offense to make it work. This will not be a full rebuild as I am keeping my core players and selling off my older players that I can cash in on while I can. Max is Amazing and one of those most coveted assets in the league, while I don’t think I am gonna make noise this year I would rather deal him now while his value is high than possibly risk seeing him go down to injury.
Senzel is a great looking hitter. He needs to stay healthy for sure and he’s had some tough luck. That’s fine. He’s young and I’m thrilled about the park he will be hitting in. Singer should have been drafted a lot higher and should get to the show with the royals soon. I like his stuff and hopefully he will be toward the top of my rotation for years. Neidert isn’t flashy but kinda has an it factor about him and I think he will be a steady innings eater and good source of consistent points in this league.
There is a part 2 I will make a separate post about.

Dodgers accept the deal with the Braves....
After a hot start to the year and the Rockies looking tough to beat, the Dodgers are going all-in this year.
Dealing top prospect Senzel to the Braves was the toughest part of this deal, as we expected Senzel to already be up with the Reds and making an impact, but the opportunity to acquire Scherzer to help win now made this deal worth giving up Senzel.
While Singer has huge upside and should move fast through the Royals farm system after pitching the Gators to the CWS, having only one start so far made giving up a top 50'ish prospect in this deal also palatable.
And, while Neidert may end up helping the Marlins in the dog days of summer, including him in the deal for Scherzer was also worth the risk.
Best of luck to the now rebuilding Braves and thanks for the quick negotiation.
