Dodgers announce a deal with Cardinals
Dodgers send:
Zack Greinke (2019/$9.45; 2020/$21.75; 2021/$27.54) + max cap relief (so Greinke's salary to Cardinals will be (2019/$4.73; 2020/$16.31; 2021/$20.66; 2022/UFA); Zac Gallen (.2/minors); and Alex Faedo (.3/minors)
Cardinals send:
DL Hall (.3/minors) Drew Waters (.25/minors); and Nick Neidert (.2/minors)
Dodgers were looking to Greinke to bolster the rotation, but all scouting personnel have been fired after management watched the D-Backs/Dodgers game today. Management decided the better course of action was to move on from Greinke and pursue youth. While Gallen is at AAA and Faedo is at AA, management likes Nick Neidert better, and acquiring DL Hall, a dominant LHP with the potential to move through the Orioles god awful organization fairly quickly, and Drew Waters, a dynamic OF we expect to be roaming the OF with Ronald Acuna and Christian Pache in the near future enabled the Dodgers to pull the trigger on dealing Greinke.
Thanks to the Cardinals for negotiating this one, and best of luck in the tough NL Central.

Cardinals accept.
Trivia Friday: Who is the only pitcher in SEC history to lead the NCAA in strikeouts for a season?
Alex Faedo in 2017!
While losing top prospects like Waters and Hall is a tough blow to our minor leagues, Faedo and Gallen help to soften the hit. Cardinals have been in discussions with the Dodgers for Faedo since March 18th; coincidentally the day I started.
So many Zack, Zach and Zac trades going on. Greinke is a proven vet and we expect him to rebound in San Diego.
Thanks for finally sending me Faedo and I'm glad we could agree to a deal! Best of luck.
