The New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers agree to the following trade:
PHI receives:
Wily Peralta, RP, KC - 2019/0.5m - (NYY to cover 50%)
Brad BoxBerger, RP, KC - 2019/2.5m(NYY cover 50%)- 2020/2.5m(NYY cover 25%)- 2021/UFA
NYY will also send 1m in cap relief to PHI for the 2019 season
NYY receives:
Jacob Nix, SP, SD - 2019/ 0.2m - minors
NYY accepts this trade to move 2 of ours relievers out of our already crowded bullpen, and Peralta is someone we were not going to re-sign after this year anyway. We know Nix has recently been shelved but we feel he will come back even stronger and are willing to wait on that. This move helps us clear roster space while getting back a top prospect arm.
Thank you for the swift and easy negotiations Philly.....nice doing business with you.

Phillies accept.
We had some holes in the bullpen and one of Peralta/Boxberger will be the closer in KC this year. Nix was barely holding onto a 40-man roster spot and I'm not sold he will be more than a #5 starter so I made the deal even if Peralta and Boxberger are nothing special. The salary help closed the deal.
