To TOR
SP Joe Musgrove 2019 - 1.02/ARB1/ARB2/ARB3 SP Tyler Anderson 2019 - 1.02/ARB1/ARB2/ARB3
To MIN
3B Jonathan India - Prospect - 0.3 SS Kevin Maitan - Prospect - 0.2 OF Jose Siri - Prospect - 0.2
This was all about filling out my current rotation. Adding Musgrove was the key as he's entering his prime years and still on a TC contract and should hopefully contribute multiple years in my rotation. Anderson is more of a short term add to fill out my #6 spot but gaining another SP with a TC contract seemed like good value and somebody that could be flipped for a prospect if he's eventually pushed out of my rotation when Walker, Reyes, Kopech hopefully return to health. Giving up India hurts the most as I originally drafted him for his relatively high floor and high odds of contributing at the MLB level but having Bryant and Vlad Jr. at 3B for the foreseeable future made him obvious trade bait to acquire an SP. Maitan and Siri are both lottery tickets I would have liked to hang on to to see how they pan out but with MIN asking for them and Maitan trending in the wrong direction and Siri with K issues didn't seem like the best fit for a league that punishes K's and were deemed expendable to get the deal done. Best of luck to Minny.

The Twins accept.
This continues our ongoing trend to build for the future. Musgrove was hard to part with considering age and potential but overall we did not want to waste his prime on a team without a supporting cast. We also did not want him to get lit and lose any trade value he has.
Overall, we fielded a lot of offers from a number of teams and feel we received the best overall package. India is the star. We agree he does have a high floor. Hopefully he moves quickly. Maitan and Siri have strong pedigrees that could exceed expectations. Either way they give us even more prospect depth. After this deal I’m confident we have the best prospect class in the league and can’t wait to watch these kids grow!
