Dodgers and Mets have agreed to a trade:
Dodgers send Amed Rosario and Josh Hader to the Mets in exchange for Zach Greinke ( + max salary cap relief) and Jordan Montgomery.
Amed Rosario: 2019/$1, 2020/$1, 2021/Arb1 Josh Hader: 2019/$1, 2020/Arb1
Jordan Montgomery: 2019/$1, 2020 Arb1 Zach Greinke: 2019/$18.9, 2020/$29, 2021/$36.72, 2022/UFA
Greinke's salary going to LAD will be: 2019/$9.45, 2020/$21.75, 2021/$27.54
Dodgers were looking for another top tier SP, and were willing to part with one of the many TC contracts with Arb 1 years coming up in 2021. Mets needed an RP improvement, and while Hader is a special RP, getting another SP in Montgomery in exchange with an equivalent contract to replace CC Sabathia adder retirement next year was worth the price.
Thanks to Dominik for working through this deal over the course of 2 weeks, which came to final stages yesterday across multiple time zones. Best of luck to Mets and their new SS and RP.

The New York Mets accept this trade. Losing one of our star pitchers in Greinke hurts but the return package of budget savings and two young and controllable quality MLB players was convincing enough to let Zack go. Adding Montgomery on our side was necessary to get Hader who we like a lot as a top bullpen weapon.
We thank the Dodgers GM for never giving up during our long trade discussions and wish Zack and Jordan lots of success with their new organization
Welcome to the 2019 NL East champion, Amed and Josh and as always let´s go Mets!
