Texas trades: SP Clayton Kershaw 32/19 33/20 UFA/21 1B/3B Max Muncy 1/19, 1.5/20 2.25/21 UFA/22 SP Luis Patino 0.6
Atlanta trades: SP Kyle Freeland 1/19, ARB1/20, ARB2/21, ARB3/22, UFA/23 SS Tim Anderson 3.67/19, ARB2/20, ARB3/21, UFA/22 OF Joc Pederson 2.81/19, ARB3/20, UFA/21
I have been talking about trading Kershaw since I took the team a couple days ago. I wanted the salary relief and to improve my team overall. I was able to package Muncy from a surplus of 1B/3B I currently had. I didn't even have a SS and now to have a 20/20 guy in Tim Anderson manning the position, I feel good about my team. Getting Joc in the deal was an upgrade in the outfield for me for a low price of a prospect. This gives me the salary relief to continue to make trades and better the club as we inch closer to Spring Training.
Thanks for the quick deal ATL after a lengthy discussion earlier in the day for just Muncy.

We were in contact early for Muncy And Patino two players I like for Anderson plus. Didn’t even think about Kershaw until he came in the picture late. I love Anderson as a power Speed guy and hope Muncy isn’t a one year wonder. Losing Anderson will force me into the SS market next year but I have Marte to take over for the time being. I also Love Freeland for his control and ability, but Kershaw was too tempting and hopefully Patino is ready to take Kershaw place in my rotation after 2 years. Overall good deal. Thanks to Texas for the reasonable negotiations.
