In a trade of several minor leaguers the D-Backs & Marlins have a agreed to the following...
Miami gets: Nolan Jones, 3B, Indians. 2019/0.2M prospect Tristan Pompey, LF/CF/RF, Marlins. 2019/0.25M prospect Osiris Johnson, SS, Marlins. 2019/0.2M prospect
Arizona gets: Adam Haseley, LF/CF, Phillies. 2019/0.3M prospect Miguel Amaya, C, Cubs. 2019/0.2M prospect JoJo Romero, SP, Phillies. 2019/0.2M prospect Robinson Ortiz, SP, Dodgers. 2019/0.2M prospect
In this deal, as much as we hated getting rid of Jones, Pompey, and Johnson (especially Jones) we saw an opportunity to get a couple quality prospects that are closer to being ready. Haseley (AAA) could be up as early as sometime in 2019 and Romero (AA) a year later. Amaya is the Cubs top prospect and also a Top 100. It's early, just out of rookie ball, but Ortiz's early projections are as a #4 starter.
All in all we feel we have moved our farm into a better position to help sooner.
We wish Nolan, Tristan and Osiris the best of luck in their new home.
Thanks to the Miami GM for making the negotiations very quick and easy!

Marlins agree to this deal.
Nolan Jones is going to look great in Miami in a few years. Osiris Johnson and Triston Pompey have shown some flashes in their young careers giving us hope that they could contribute to our success one day.
To those that are departing, we wish you the best in the desert. Watch for scorpions.
Thanks Donnie for our negotiation.
