ATL TRADES
D Duffy KC 14, 15.25, 15.25, 15.5, UFA O Arcia MIL 1.02, 2.04, Arb 1, Arb 2, Arb 3, UFA N Goodrum Det 0.5, 1, 2, Arb 1, Arb 2, Arb 3, UFA
NYM TRADES
K Marte Ari 2.4, Arb 1, Arb 2, Arb 3, UFA M Davidson CWS 1.53, Arb2, Arb 3, UFA J James Hou 0.2
I’m a big Marte fan and think he has the most upside in this deal. I like Duffy and Arcia and didn’t really want to sell low on them as both are having disappointing years so I was glad to get a player I valued or I would have been holding onto both. Goodrum is a player I grew to like as well so to give up all three was a tough decision.
I think Marte is due for a big breakout next season that will justify the move. Davidson is another MLB bat, and I’m not sure what we have just yet in Josh James but hopefully someone that can provide some mlb value. This also unloads a fairly big contract for me to potentially be more active in FA in the offseason. Thanks for the deal buddy and good luck.

Mets accept.
I have asked about Duffy and Arcia many times and today this trade was agreed upon quickly when it became clear that Marte was the price I had to pay. The fake Mets are dead last in Ks on offense so getting rid of Davidson and his constant whiffing was a strategical necessity as well as a relief. Adding James hurts a little...one of the best SP in the Minors this year. Look up his K/BB ratio!
Duffy has been pitching well lately and will give me another solid arm for the stretch run and beyond. Arcia could be my shortstop for years to come if he rediscovers his swing. He is still super young and already had some success at MLB level. Goodrum is in the midst of a solid breakout season. Nice utility player.
Once more I would like to thank the Braves management for the great trade talks and wish Ketel, Josh and Martin a successful career going forward.
Welcome to New York Orlando, Danny and Niko and as always let’s go Mets!
