Braves gets: James Nelson 3B MIA - $0.2 Kyle Young SP PHI - $0.2
Cubs get: Randal Grichuk RF/LF TOR - $1.56/2.34/2.34/2.34/2.34/3.51TO
I’ve got 6 guys on the DL already so my goal is just to add some depth here. RF specifically has been a problem spot in my lineup early on this season as well. Doesn’t hurt that Grichuk is a Jay too so I can hope for a nice rebound from him for both my team and the Jays’ sake. Thanks for the deal.

Grichuk has struggled mightily in the early going. He can very easily turn it around as it hasn’t even been two weeks yet. With the other moves I made today, it’s clear I’m looking toward next year and beyond and Grichuk doesn’t fit into my long term plans.
It’s a little disappointing bc I extended him thinking he would be a nice source of power in Toronto.
In the players I’m getting back, I’m a marlins (and a Nelson) fan. This kid is a hard worker and should be a nice bat once he reaches the major leagues. He profiles at 3B but is versatile and could be a multiple position guy as well. As for Young, I’ll admit I didn’t know much about him before the deal, but the book on him indicates he can provide some value to a major league club. Thanks for the deal and good luck Cubs.
