After a fairly good negotiation the Angels and D-Backs have come up with the following deal...
Angels get:
Marco Gonzalez, SP, Mariners. 2018/.5M 2019/1M 2020/2M 2021/ARB1 Jamie Barria, SP, Angels. 2018/.5M - prospect Michael Hermosillo, OF, Angels. 2018/.2M - prospect
D-Backs get:
Tyson Ross, SP, Padres. 2018/3.1M 2019/UFA Adrian Gonzalez, 1B, Mets. 2018/,5M 2019/UFA Johan Oveido, SP, Cardinals. 2018/.5M - prospect Jose Albertos, SP, Cubs. 2018/.2M - prospect
We are giving up 3 quality prospects in Gonzalez, Hermosillo & Barria, one of them up this year and another getting called up tomorrow. We wish all 3 well in their new home.
For Gonzo & Ross were nice pieces that will help us out this year and possibly next. The keys to the deal for us were the prospects. Oveido is a hard throwing kid from Cuba who at 20 years old should develop into a mid rotation guy. Albertos at age 19 is already ranked in the top 2-4, depending on who is ranking, in the Cubs organization. He has front of the rotation potential and will move very quickly thru their system.
Thanks to the Angels GM for the negotiations and the deal.

I agree to the deal. Gonzo was overkill on my team with me just getting mauer as well. Ross I didn't really want to deal because I like him in SD and he's had solid returns so far. I took this chance to get a few younger players who are locked up for a few year. Albeit with more risk and less knowledge of how they will actually perform at the big league level. With some of the bigger contracts I have I felt like having a few pitchers locked up long term even if they aren't great was a good bet
