If Vicuna, ranked by MLB as Toronto's No. 23 prospect and similarly on other rankings is worth $4M in a trade. What is a top 50 prospect worth? $20M? $30M?

Isn't $4m for a single season worth essentially nothing to a team with lots of cap space? If they don't use it, then they lose it. Pretty sure I finished last season with like $40m in available salary space... I would have loved to trade $4m for a decent prospect. Or $20m for a top 50 prospect would have been great too.

These type of trades destroy a salary cap structure, which is why they are prohibited in every major sports league that has a salary cap.

We're only allowed to trade up to $10m max in salary per season here. That is about 6% of our total salary cap. I don't really see how that could ruin the league... In fact, I don't think it's really a big deal at all imo. Kinda cool to have another avenue to make some trades.
