Whats going on guys?
Most of you are in my other leagues I run but some aren't. I like to take the time to write a small tidbit about myself just as an introduction. So here it goes...
My name is Justin. I'm 25 with a young son (4). I'm currently living in Delaware (there's nothing good here besides tax free shopping) and by day i'm an Air Traffic Controller (TRACON, radar) in the Air Force (not the guys with the light guns lol) and by night i'm a commissioner. I talk about my job constantly because, well, it's awesome. It is true what you hear about ATC though. It is a very stressful job (I have had to issue traffic alerts once. Traffic alerts are last resorts meaning you need to act now or you may collide) and you can assure that if you're flying there are many many sets of eyes watching your flight and keeping you safe. It is the best job to have because it is very rewarding when you handle an emergency situation and get the pilot on the ground safely (I had a guy literally have his door in his plane pop open at 6000 feet once). I've had many cool experiences with ATC (I controlled Air Force One once) and again can't complain about the job.
I started in the dynasty/salary format last season, joining another league and slowly helping out. That has pretty much grown my interest in these leagues. I played in NBA/NHL/MLB for the first time last season and have branched out to making my own leagues.
My commissioner style is very laid back. I like to chat all the time on the boards and fantrax, and am pretty easy going. I'm not usually one to make quick decisions as far as removing owners or what not but sometimes if need be i will.
I'm also not one to change rules midseason unless it is absolutely necessary. I'm more of a deal with it now and change it in the offseason guy.
I pride myself on making my leagues unique and am constantly searching for ways to make them better. I introduced Podcasts in my MLB league and it has been a huge hit. I plan on bringing all of those to this league as well. If anyone sees anything or has an idea please let me know! I'll definitely consider it obviously if I have the time to devote to it as well.
I almost promise (97% sure) you will not be unhappy here. My leagues so far have been very active and i stumbled upon a great group of owners. Most have joined all of my leagues, so this one should be no different.
Any questions, let me know! Thanks for joining and welcome to my league!
