SEA Agrees: Pls move Yohander Mendez to my milb. I needed to move a very good 2B and a top 5 Org OF to get a C and future SP for my squad. Good deal MIL.

The Brewers accept.
The Brewers didn't necessary need LeMahieu, but there was currently no depth on the roster and he has the upside to be a top 5 2B. Similar production is probably going to go for far more in free agency, plus there's no guarantee you'd actually get who you wanted. The Brewers have always been fond of DJ so they decided why not. It's possible he could be a trade chip down the road, whether that be today or at the trade deadline.
Beck is a recent draftee, so he's years away from the big leagues, but he's already highly regarded in the organization for his skill set and work ethic. We look forward to his progression through the organization.
d'Arnaud was going to be a part time player on this squad with the recent acquisition of Grandal, making him somewhat expendable. Brault hadn't even had time to unpack his bags since yesterday's acquisition--sorry about that Steven. Mendez is a good young arm but has trouble with consistency. Best of luck to all three with their new team.
