Ladies (?) and Gentlemen,
it is time to announce the 2017 Moneyball All Star Teams.
The methodology is fairly simple. The players who scored the most points at their position until the ASB have been awarded with a place in their respective All Star team. If a player is eligible for multiple positions he is only considered for the position where he played the most games so far (e.g. Kris Bryant is a 3B - not a LF).
Rosters are adapted to the original All Star roster sizes but without using any reserves so not every MLB team is represented here. That means we have eight position players (plus one DH in the AL) and eight pitchers (five SP and three RP). You can read more about the All Star official roster rules in the following link if you feel truly bored today edition.cnn.com/2013/06/05/us/mlb-all-star-game-fast-facts/index.html .
Without further ado here are the 2017 Monyeball All Stars:

Some random notes:
> Our scoring system seems to reward the right players. In my opinion above All Stars reflect the best players of this season´s first half. Side note: Leftfield is a wasteland in the National League.
> Still there is a healthy number of surprises (based on pre-season expectations) like Marcell Ozuna, Jose Ramirez, Elvis Andrus, Aaron Judge, Michael Fulmer, Robbie Ray and Ervin Santana. Great value for their owners!
> First Half Awards go to the following players and organizations (based on total points):
NL MVP: Daniel Murphy
AL MVP: Joey Votto
NL CY Young: Clayton Kershaw
AL CY Young: Chris Sale
NL ROY: Aaron Judge
AL ROY: Andrew Benintendi
> Nine teams are left out from this year´s midsummer classics due to having no outstanding players and no reserves being nominated. Teams like St. Louis or Cincinnati still do just fine without any nominees though. Then again we have three teams with three players representing their colours: Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies.
> The winner of this year´s Moneyball All Star Game is the American League squad with the score of 290,37 pts/player vs. 276,26 pts/player. Congratulations!
That´s it. I apologize for my German English and look forward to the second half of the season.
