NYY Trades Away to CHC:
Yangervis Solarte SD 2B,3B - 2017 - 2.5/ 2018 - 4/ 2019 - TO 5.5/ 2020 - TO 8/ 2021- UFA
CHC Trades Away to NYY:
Jose DeLeon TB SP - Minors 0.2
Chris Lee RP - Minors 0.2
Jae-gyun Hwang SF 3B - 2017 - 0.5/ 2018 - 1/ 2019 - 2/ 2020 - ARB1/ 2021- ARB2/ 2022 - ARB3/ 2023 - UFA
Yankees make this trade with the anticipation on Jose De Leon being an addition to the rotation down the stretch, and with being a top prospect he has a legitimate chance at being a stud. Hwang could be a sneaky player if SF continues to start him due to injuries. If he could contribute consistently he fills the void of giving up Solarte. Lee is a prospect who could very well be in an MLB rotation in the not so distant future. Giving up a player of Solarte's stature is not easy in a league like this, he pretty much contributes in every area, and now has 2B eligibility. This was actually one thing that made him available for us to trade as he will most likely lose 3B eligibility next year and we already have Kipnis.

Cubs accept. I've been after Solarte for awhile now since I really like him with this scoring format. He puts up decent offensive stats with very low Ks. Despite not having his best offensive hear, he'll by the 6 player in my offense who's currently averaging 3+ ppg in this league. He fills a future need at 2B for my team as well since my current 2B Segura will only be eligible at SS next season. So I feel the move significantly improves both my current and future lineup. For those reasons, I was willing to part with my top SP prospect De Leon, along with a pretty sneaky good Hwang who's currently in the bigs, and an average but near MLB-ready SP prospect in Lee. Thanks for the deal to the Yanks and good luck in the 2nd half.
