While this may seem like a lot to give up for a 34 year old pitcher, I am a serious contender this year and I need another pitcher I can rely on down the stretch. Garrett is tough to lose, but with rookie struggles and possible inning restrictions, it's hard to count on him late into the season this year, this move hurts a bit for the future but if Verlander can help me win it all this year it's more than worth it.
Chapman essentially had to be in the deal to offset the massive Verlander salary and Closers don't have a ton of value in this format, plus I am Getting a likely future closer in Burdi to replace him. I also think Voth can be of value as he is close to pro ready, albeit on a team that doesn't have an opening in the rotation as of now.
Frazier has been a nice surprise, but with my depth, I can afford to let him go as I have a few guys that can replace him in the lineup. Bottom line this move is setting my sights on winning in the near future.

I accept--my team isn't going anywhere with Verlander so I might as well as move him. This move makes a lot of sense for me for future years. Frazier add good depth to my roster and with all the injuries I have had this year having that depth would have been helpful. Getting Garrett was the main part of the return for me. He showed a lot of promise in his first few starts and if he can develop a bit more consistency as he develops he will be a great SP for this league. Chapman, while having to be included to make the salary work, also gives me one of the most dependable closers in the league. I won't have to worry about too many negative nights with him and that is huge. While I do not like giving up my best SP I feel that next year I will have a lot of young pitchers that will begin to develop into a heck of a rotation in 2-3 years.
