After about a 10 second negotiation the The D-Backs and Cards have agreed to the following deal...
Cardinals get:
Asher Wojciechowski, SP, Orioles. 2019/2.25M
Diamondbacks get:
Tim Lopes, 2B/LF, Mariners. 2019/4M
In this weird season it is a deal we felt we needed to make that we may not have normally, given the value of SPs in this league. We hate to see a #4 SP go, but he was probably going to be sent down by us anyway and we need a bat who qualified in the OF. Lopes is hitting well in the spring and summer camps, so he will be a much needed piece for us.
