After a quiet spring the Reds and Pirates announce a trade:
Reds trade OF Danny Santana $16.5m/20 $16.5m/21 $16.5m/22 $16.5m/23
to Pirates for:
SP Zach Eflin 2.04m/20, ARB2/21, ARB3/22 OF Alexander Ramirez .2 Prospect SP D.L. Hall .3 Prospect
* No cap considerations are included with this deal
The Reds send away valuable utility man Danny Santana for MLB SP Zach Eflin to shore up a SP spot and also had a promising SP in Hall. Ramirez is very young but the Reds brass will follow his career closely to see if he can be an impact bat in the future.
Thank you to the Pirates for the deal.

The Pirates are happy to be back to business in the midst of this global pandemic. Danny Santana will hopefully provide us with a much needed presence in center-field after the organization was forced to give up on Michael A. Taylor. The Pirates agree to the trade as amended above with the Pirates receiving $3Million in cash for this season(2020) only.
