The Cardinals and Reds have agreed to a trade.
The Cardinals send Luis Robert - prospect Pavin Smith - prospect Roberto Osuna - 14.04m,UFA (STL agree to cover 50% or 7.02m)
The Reds send Alec Bohm - prospect Byron Buxton - 2.25m,ARB2,ARB3 Nathan Eovaldi - 3m, 3m, UFA
Thanks, reds, for working this one out. Luis Robert is the top prospect (imo) with a job heading into spring. And Pavin Smith earned an invite to spring training and is in exciting prospect.
Best of luck, Cincy!

The Reds accept this deal. We hate to see our players go, but we do really like Robert upside and 6 years of team control. We are hoping that Smith pans out sooner than later to off set losing a top prospect in Bohm. Eovaldi is listed as a SP this year and could really hurt the Reds SP if he bounces back for IRL Red Sox. Our scouting department and team brass have always been believers in Buxton and were excited that he had started turning the corner in his career.
Good luck to Cardinals, as we know that they will be a tough competitor each and every season.
