The Reds and the Cardinals worked a series of trades last night. The first trade that was completed was:
Reds trade: Bailey Ober prospect $.2 Regi Grace prospect $.2
Cardinals trade: $2.1m IFA money
The second trade involved MLB level talent:
Reds trade: Miguel Rojas $4.95m/20, UFA/21 Wiilians Astudillo $.5m/20, UFA/21
Cardinals trade: Andrew Kittredge $.5/20, UFA/21 Beau Burrows Prospect $.2m Drew Ellis Prospect $.25m
The Reds made these trades to acquire more IFA$ for international free agency. We hate to see Ober and Astudillo move, but we are looking more to the future beyond when we control the player rights on Astudillo. Good luck to Cardinals and thank you for working the deal!

Cardinals accept deal 1.
Bailey Ober is a giant of a prospect. Standing at 6'9'', Ober advanced from A to AA last season and made his name known for his incredible control. in 70+ minor league innings last season, Ober had an ERA of 0.7, striking out 100 batters while walking 10. Video Game numbers. Giving up IFA money hurts, however landing this future star softens the blow.
Cardinals accept deal 2.
Miguel Rojas and Willians Astudillo will round out our bench. Astudillo is the definition of a 26-man guy and Rojas is a plus defender at SS.
Thanks Reds for the trade and best of luck.
